Chlorinated Polypropylene Resin (CPP) is a solvent-soluble thermoplastic resin supplied as an adhesion promoter for polypropylene and related polyolefin substrates. Hanghui offers Ink-I, Ink-II and Ink-E grades for different chlorine levels and solvent systems.
CPP resin is mainly used in compatible solvent-based printing inks, coatings, primers and laminating adhesives. After the solvent has evaporated, the resin forms a continuous film and supports adhesion to low-surface-energy materials such as PP and TPO.
Grade selection should be based on the solvent system, substrate treatment, required adhesion and finished-film performance. Compatibility and application results must be confirmed with the customer's complete formulation and actual substrate.

CPP resin is designed for solvent-based formulations requiring adhesion to PP, TPO and related polyolefin surfaces. It dissolves in the recommended solvent system and forms a continuous resin film after solvent evaporation.
In a compatible formulation, CPP can contribute water, acid and alkali resistance while serving as a binder or adhesion-promoting component. Results depend on resin grade, solvent selection, substrate treatment, film thickness and curing or drying conditions.
• Polyolefin film printing inks: Used as a binder and adhesion promoter for compatible inks applied to BOPP, OPP, PE and related films.
• Film and foil lamination: Used in suitable laminating adhesive systems for bonding paper to compatible plastic film or aluminium substrates.
• PP and TPO primers: Improves adhesion of subsequent coating layers to properly prepared low-surface-energy surfaces.
• Automotive plastic coatings: Suitable for evaluation in compatible primer systems for PP or TPO components.
• PP coating and modification systems: Functions as a resin binder or adhesion-promoting component in compatible formulations.

The Specification table is reproduced from the current Hanghui CPP Resin TDS. Refer to the sales contract and batch COA for shipment acceptance.
• Ink-I: Chlorine content 29-32%; recommended for compatible toluene-based formulations.
• Ink-II: Chlorine content 32-35%; recommended for compatible toluene-based formulations.
• Ink-E: Chlorine content 36-41% with lower specified viscosity; recommended for compatible ester-based formulations.
• Select the grade according to the solvent system, substrate and required adhesion, then confirm performance through formulation trials.
Add the resin gradually to the recommended solvent under continuous agitation. Continue mixing until the resin is fully dissolved and the solution is uniform. Control the processing temperature according to solvent safety and formulation requirements.
Filter the resin solution when the final ink, coating or adhesive requires high clarity or fineness. Before production, verify dissolution, compatibility, adhesion and finished-film performance on the actual treated substrate.
